A powerful storm with large hail caused significant damage to homes and vehicles in Asunción and surrounding areas on Oct 4.

Footage shows giant hailstones falling into the garden of a house with a swimming pool amid strong winds.
The hail reportedly shattered windshields and punched holes through roofs, while several areas lost electricity and authorities warned of further severe weather.
