The Union Govt will dispatch teams to Maharashtra and Karnataka to assess the drought situation.

Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also visit both states.

Nearly 74% of sub-divisions in Maharashtra & Karnataka have been declared drought-hit.
