Except IT, FMCG, all other sectoral indices trade in the red. Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Sun Pharma, UltraTech Cement are among top gainers on the Nifty, while losers are Bharat Electronics, Trent, Tata Motors, Power Grid Corp, Adani Enterprises.
BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices down 1 percent each.
